1st Year Boys Rugby Victory

On Friday the 17th of January our First-year boys took on Oatlands in a friendly. The lads made their way down to Greystones Rugby Club for a 10:45 warm-up. Special thanks to Noah Morgan and Eljah Pegman for assisting them during the warmup. With some motivating words from their coach, Mr Davies, the lads were all set for the 11:30 kick off.

From the first whistle the boys came out roaring with Sam Large capitalising both a try and conversion to make it 7-0. With this momentum the lads were able to keep their dominance for the whole of the first half with the end tally being 38-0, with scores from Gethin Davies and Chris O’Brien before the half time whistle blowing at 11:55.

The second half began and David's kept their dominance, with players like Rhisper Barnard and Ryan Goth increasing David's tally of tries. The lads ended with a good victory against Oatlands with the final whistle blowing at 12:25. The final score was 60-7, with notable performances coming from Chris O’Brien, Gethin Davies, John Bryne and Sam Large.

Congratulations to the boys on their impressive victory!

Thank you to our TY referees Cillian Brady and Levi Morgan and a big thanks to Mr Davies for coaching and accompanying the lads.
