On Tuesday the 4th of March St David’s 1st year boys played Gorey Community School in a high intensity match. This match was a Semi-Final so the boys were undoubtedly nervous. The 1st year boys put on a brilliant and dominant performance throughout the entirety of the match.
The lads started off strong in the first half with Leo Murphy scoring a brilliant goal only 1 minute in. David’s were able to control the rest of the half with brilliant teamwork and communication.
David's started out the 2nd half very strong with Gethin Davis scoring a brilliant goal from a penalty and Jack Williams scoring a fantastic goal in the later minutes of the second half.
A big congratulations to the boys, they should be very proud of their performance! Their amazing performance should give them plenty of confidence for their important final in three weeks- keep an eye out on our social media for coverage on the boys in their final!!!
