On Thursday, the 8th of November Mr. Cahill’s Junior boys rugby team arrived at Newbridge Rugby Club for an intense and challenging game against the Newbridge Junior Rugby team in the quarter-finals.
After a quick warm up, the match began with the team producing a strong start. They displayed great work in defence thanks to the rooks and their team communication was outstanding.
The game was low scoring for David's until James Ward scored an incredible try midway through the game.
The players fought hard through the freezing cold wind and light rain. They pushed themselves to fight to the end of the game despite Newbridge scoring three tries, this shows the incredible morale of our St David's Juniors.
The match, unfortunately, ended in a defeat for the boys with a score of 29 - 7 to Newbridge.
It was a disappointing loss for the David’s team but the effort displayed was as a testament to their hard work and dedication. Although the lads will be upset they should take pride in their performance and be proud of making it to a quarter-final.
