East Leinster Athletics Competition

On the 22nd of January Saint David's fielded several incredible teams for the Senior boys, Inter boys and girls, Junior boys and girls and Minor girls events in the 2025 East Leinster Cross Country Championship.

Rían O'Gorman represented the senior boys with a remarkable time of 19:56 in a 5km race. He was extremely determined and focused throughout the race. Moya Marrinan and Emily O'Driscoll ran in the Inter Girls category and showed extreme determination and running ability. The Inter boys was the biggest team put forward with four TY's and six 3rd years to run 4km. Callum Clarke Twomey led the TYs with a time of 16:20 and Jack C finished with a time of 17:10 leading the 3rd years. The Junior Boys and Girls both did incredibly well with a team of 3 representing the Junior Girls running 1.5km amazingly and Dylan K represented the Junior Boys finishing with a brilliant time of 9:25 over 2km. Last but certainly not least is Connie Lewis, who represented the minor girls. She had a stunning time of 3:59 over 1km earning herself a silver medal and 2nd place!

It was an amazing day out and exhibition of the incredible athletes. Well done to everyone!
