First Year Boys GAA Victory

On Tuesday 1st of April (April Fools Day) our 1st Year Boys Gaelic team had an excellent win over Avondale Community College. The match kicked off just shortly after 11 am.

The lads started off strong with great defence. 10 minutes into the first half John Byrne scored a free kick, to put us ahead, the lads kept up a strong attack and finished the first half 1-2 : 0-4 to Avondale.

Although the second half was tight, our lads stood their ground in defence and powered through in attack with strong performances from John Byrne, Sean Levins, and Chris O’Brien, they came out on top with a final score of 2-6 : 1-11. To finish off the day our head coach Mr. Short gave a strong team talk.
