French Exchange Student Trip to Dublin City

On Tuesday the 26th of February, a handful of Transition Year students alongside their French exchange students went into Dublin for a walking tour of the city.

The students arrived at 9:30 and immediately made their way to Temple Bar for their tour which was given in French. The tour gave the exchange students a bit of general knowledge and history of the city of Dublin.

After the tour the students were given an hour to explore Dublin. They went to key locations in the city, such as Trinity College, Grafton Street and George's street.

It’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed their day out and the French students learned a lot about the Capital City.

A massive thank you to all of the French department, in particular Ms. Foynes, for arranging and accompanying the students on their day out!

On Wednesday the 26th of February the French students were given a small lesson on Irish dancing by Ms. Slee, which they all enjoyed.

On Friday the 28th the students received a lesson on how to play hurling and also received a lesson on how to speak a little bit of Irish from Ms. De Blacam

On Thursday the 27th of February the French students accompanied the David’s students to St. Laurences to give some of the primary school students a lesson on the basics of French.

A massive thank you to all of the French department, in particular Ms. Foynes, for arranging and accompanying the students on most of the activities that they participated in.
