Girls U16s Basketball Win Against Gorey Educate Together

On Monday the 25th of November our Girls U16 basketball team played an amazing  match against Gorey Educate Together at home in our Sports Arena.

Ms Dempsey led a strong warm up for the girls, with her words of wisdom encouraging the team to show off their hard work in practice on the court.

The match was off to a very promising start within the first few minutes. The team showed their best efforts in the first quarter scoring ten baskets putting them into the lead. The girls showed great defence throughout the whole match working together constantly. A particular shout-out goes to Helena as she showed excellent skills in defence.

Many great baskets were scored but special mentions go to Beth, Lily and Gabby who managed to score baskets on multiple occasions for the team.

The girls determination was unmatched as they defeated their opponent 64:10 Congratulations to the girls. A big thanks to Ms. Dempsey for coaching the team.
