On Tuesday the 19th of November our Junior Boys' GAA team headed down to Éire Óg to face neighbouring school Temple Carrig. The match kicked off at 10 a.m. sharp and with the dreadful weather it was going to be a tough match for both sides. Temple Carrig opened with the first few scores and there were some super saves by the David's goalkeeper, Jack Creamer. Great goals were scored by Aidan Ferguson and Cillian Gallery Martinez . Sadly these scores were not enough to close down the determined Temple Carrig side as they finished out the first half with a substantial lead.
The whistle went for the second half and the St David's lads immediately began to work together to achieve some great scores. Unfortunately this was not enough to claw their way back into the game. Temple Carrig kept up their lead until the final whistle. It was a disappointing loss for the David's Junior team but the future is bright for this young group of boys. Hard luck to all involved.
A massive thank you to Mr. Crowe for coaching and accompanying the lads.
