Junior Boys Rugby Victory Against Oatlands College

The Junior Boys' Rugby team took on Oatlands College on the 27th of February. Sadly their coach Mr. Cahill was unable to attend but Sports Coordinator Mr. Brady stepped up and coached in his place. The lads warmed up in the warm sunshine.

After a lot of back and forth play, Jorge Duch Gomez opened the score with a try which was converted by Jude Leahy making it 7-0. David's continued their attacks and were extremely unlucky not to get another try before halftime. The first half ended 7-0 to David's.

After only a few minutes of the second half James Ward scored a brilliant try after some very nice play making it 12-0. David's were unfortunately unable to convert the second try. Unfortunately Oatlands scored a try to bring the score to 12-7 in the middle of second half, creating a tense close to the match. After an incredible performance from the David's team they held their lead and put pressure on  their opponents and managed to win the game 12-7.

The standout player was James Ward, who played exceptionally well!
