Smarting after Munster's loss to Leinster at Croke Park last weekend, Mr. Cahill was keen to experience a win on the rugby field again. Spurred on by his lingering disappointment, his Junior team recorded a very impressive victory over Creagh College on the 16th of October.
After a quick warm up, Mr. Cahill re-enforced the need for both passion and accuracy, channelling his inner-Paul O'Connell. They were led by their captain Fiachra O’Sullivan who inspired a litany of attacking phases throughout the game. The emphatic performance was led by Cillian Meehan, whose early try set the tone for a consistently controlled display across the full XV. Aaron Doherty was a particular standaout in a day of celebration for St. David's, crossing the whitewash three times to secure an eye-catching hat-trick. A controlled the game from start to finish, David's returned home with an impressive scoreline of 50-5. If anyone would like to join the team, training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:15.
