Junior Boys Soccer Match

On the 5th of December our Junior Boys Soccer team faced a very strong Drimnagh Castle side in an away fixture.

Both teams were very evenly matched in the first half with good chances at both ends but Drimnagh Castle scored first with a goal from a corner. After numerous chances, Sean Hennelly finally equalised to bring the game to 1-1 at half time.

In the second half, David's scored first with Sean Hennelly scoring his second goal of the game. David's came very close to scoring another with 2 close chances for Josh O'Connor and Sean Hennelly. Drimnagh equalized in the closing minutes of the game from another corner sending the game to extra time.

In extra time, Drimnagh scored early on to take the lead. David's came very close to equalising numerous times during extra time. In the last minute of the game, Conor McLaughlin scored a goal that looked to be the equaliser but unfortunately was called offside by the ref. The game ended 3-2 to Drimnagh Castle.

Hard luck to the lads we have no doubt they will bounce back from this disappointing loss and a big thank you to Mr. Brady for coaching and accompanying the team !
