A selection of students from our Green Schools Committee represented the school this week at the Let's Fix Fashion Event, organised by An Taisce's Green Schools Programme.
The trip went extremely well and our students had an amazing time.
Our school made a presentation and informed the conference about how we donated 100s of our old uniforms to Nairobi in Mukuru and the Chifundo Foundation and upcycled our old school uniforms into love hearts for the Team Hope shoebox appeal which went to Burkina Faso. Aoife Ryan and Max Moody represented our school for this event and did a fantastic job!
Abigail Doyle was selected to do an interview with the organisers to promote Let's Fix Fashion and to raise awareness for fast fashion. This interview will be used for further advertising for the organisation.
Our students were also selected for a professional photoshoot with a professional photographer in a near by rapeseed meadow.
Organisers commented on how great, respectful and kind our students were. They all conducted themselves in a outstanding manner and showed huge support to other contenders. We're very proud of them!
We also recieved a certificate for our amazing contribution and effort within the Let's Fix Fashion organisation.
