Senior Boys' Rugby vs Oatlands

From Brian O'Driscoll to Jonah Lomu, Donnybrook has seen some of the finest rugby minds grace its presence. On Thursday, the 17th of October, it was the turn of Mr. Cahill, who brought his Senior Rugby to Energia Stadium to take on Oatlands College.

His Senior team had to do battle not only with a well-disciplined opposition but also the elements. Vivaldi himself would be beaming with pride as David's were forced to contend with all four seasons at once, leaving it difficult to show their full potential.

Both teams played brilliantly, as Jude Leahy scored an impressive try early try to signal the Greystones' outfit intent. Unfortunately, Oatlands roared back and displayed a devastating level of attacking prowess. Despite David’s defending with relentless tenacity, Oatlands had a consistent edge in the game. It ultimately wasn’t our day, but the players gave it their best effort and turn their attention to the next opponent in the Leinster league.
