October 12th marked Spanish National Day. To celebrate the occasion, Mr. Fernandez and Ms. Slee travelled with 20 of our Junior Cycle students to SEK International School.
As part of the day, St. David's students had the opportunity to experience a series of eye-opening presentations on all things Spain, in particular its cultural heritage and tradition. This was in turn followed-up with a sampling of the classic Spanish dish, paella.
As part of our long-standing relationship with SEK, the annual football match was also staged. Adding another significant victory to go alongside their European Championship win in the summer, Spain eventually emerged triumphant, defeating our very own Irish team 7-5.
Many thanks to SEK for hosting such an enjoyable day and to Mr. Fernandez and Ms. Slee for organising the trip.
