St David's Junior Girls GAA vs Blessington College

Our Junior Girls GAA team played Blessington College on Tuesday the 26th of November in Blessington GAA club. Despite the cold weather, the girls came out and produced a great performance.

David’s started well with an early well worked goal! They continued to put pressure on their opponents and won the next kick out. Blessington came back with a few good scores but David’s kept their heads up and kept going. The girls had a good first half being dominant on the ball just not converting the shots needed.

At halftime, Mr. Dowling pulled the girls together for a team talk. He praised their work and skills and reminded the girls of the importance of accuracy on their kicks and passes.

The second half was great to watch with it being very back and forward with the ball, there something was always happening on the pitch. Our girls put up a great fight in the second half but unfortunately the girls just fell short.

Well done to the girls, they should be very proud of their performance.

A big thank you to their coach, Mr. Dowling!
