TY Boys Soccer Vs Terenure College

On the 28th of November our Transition Year boys football team played in a hard fought match against Terenure College. They were led by Ben McClaren and their manager was fellow TY student Kian Quigley. Despite the harsh weather conditions the lads played brilliantly.

The lads got off to a slow start in the first half, conceding three goals. Despite this the lads weren’t deterred in the slightest, upping their intensity and playing in a more aggressive fashion. Unfortunately, they were unable to score any goals in the first half despite their hard work.

They started off the second half strong they were able to make various shots on the goals. Eventually Conor McLaughlin was able to score a brilliant goal, followed soon after by another outstanding goal from Baxter Gunn. However, this was unfortunately not enough for the lads to make a comeback as Terenure scored a few more goals.

Although the lads might be disappointed with the loss today they should be very proud of their teamwork and performance.
