TY Christmas Day

On Thursday the 19th of December, our Transition Year students enjoyed their TY Christmas Day!

For the duration of periods 3 and 4 the TY's took part in a table quiz prepared by Conor McGrath, Lochlan McCarthy, Mia Williams and Lucy Finnegan. There were a total of 6 rounds all consisting of 10 questions, ranging from music, sport, geography and many more topics. The TYs split into teams of 3 and 4, they work together in hope of winning the quiz. There was a festive atmosphere in the dining hall as the students took part in the quiz well listening to some great Christmas music. After the quiz was over the results were tallied up. During lunch the students anxiously awaited the announcement of the winners.

After lunch all the students gathered in the dining hall again where the winners of the 2024 TY Christmas Quiz were announced , the winning team was "Cheesy Aaron" (Aaron Doherty, Tiernan Williams, Nick Doyle and Conan Lyons).

Then the students had the opportunity to relax and enjoy a movie: Home Alone. Each student received a bag of sweets that they could enjoy during the movie.

Overall it was a fantastic day for our TY's and a nice reward for the hard work they have put in this year !
