TY Rugby vs Wesley

Mr. Brady's 4th year team took on a strong Wesley side in a tough match. While the team lost, they gave it their all, and David played an outstanding role throughout the game.

The first half was challenging for the team, with a few missed tackles and mistakes that allowed Wesley to take the lead. However, David’s stood out with their incredible skill and teamwork and the ability to keep their heads held high even when the score was not exactly going their way. This was many players' first game back in a while because of injury and even some players' first ever game.

In the second half, the team made a strong comeback, winning the second half 19-12. Several players were key to this turnaround, scoring tries, and making important runs that helped put pressure on Wesley. These performances were a big reason the team was so strong in the second half. Special mentions to Tiernan Williams in fly half for a stellar performance with his tackles, an amazing 70 metre run from star winger Cian Levins, a whopping cross-field kick from Jorge Duch Gomez into the hands of winger Jude Leahy finishing off a well drilled play and a team try due to a penalty try being given against Wesley thanks to a relentless pressure from Davids' forwards.

Though the team lost overall, St David's excellent plays and the team’s effort showed that they have great potential. We’re excited to see how they perform in their next matches against Presentation College Bray and CBC Monkstown!
