St David's Holy Faith belives strongly in the promotion of student voice across all years . A key component of the promotion of student voice within our school is the Student Council. 

The  Student Council is a representative body of students from all year groups. Each September, students from each of our base classes from 1st Year to 6th Year nominate themselves for the role. An election then takes place and each student casts their vote at our polling booth. The results are tallied and the democtratically elected representatives then form the Student Council. 

The Student Council has its own constitution, sets its own agenda and meets once a month to discuss opportunites for imporvement in the school and to discuss matters that have been relayed to them by their constituents (the members of their base class). The principal engages directly with the Student Council on matters that they would like to discuss. 

In the previous years, the student council has played a key role in the selection of our new school uniform, the creation of awareness campaigns within the student council and colloborated with the other student led committees in the school - offering support and the perspective of the student body at large.
